How it started
In 1994, in his parents’ spare room, founder Robert Tancred started what’s become known today as Capital Estate Agents. With some funding from his mother to start him off and a vision to break the mould and create a better estate agency experience for customers, the company became locally successful. Consistent hard work and perseverance earned the ability to expand property services.
With continual growth over the years, Capital Estate Agents branched out to more areas. The addition of Jack, Robert’s son, to the company brought new and fresh ideas. Together they combined traditional practices with modern approaches.
Today, Capital Estate Agents continually strive to be the best and do what’s right for their customers. We use the latest intelligent insights and technology to find the best buyers and tenants for our sellers and landlords, to help us achieve the best results.
Our in-house marketing and full media offering, including videography and virtual tours, is unbeaten and gives customers a unique and immersive experience. You can see it all from our media suite in our Bromley office. Join us for a property experience like no other.

Robert (Rob) Tancred is the brains behind what is now known as Capital Estate Agents. Starting from the back bedroom of his mums house Rob worked tirelessly to create the multi award winning, multi branch company you see today. Living on a strict diet of Millwall, Stella and Smart Cars Rob has earned his place amongst the best in the business.

Jack Tancred is Capitals operational control and accounts manager. He is always thinking of new ways to keep Capital ahead of the game and in the 21st century. His keen eye for what’s new and his natural skill to think on his feet make him a valuable asset across all areas of the company. In his free time Jack is a keen footballer who could’ve gone pro if it wasn’t for his bad knee, okay Jack heard that one before….

Darcy is the company’s client liaison, she spends her days napping on the sofa and seeing if anyone can spare her a scrap of lunch. Darcy loves long walks and a good run in the woods. When asked for comment she replied with “woof” followed by some inaudible growling.

Joe Mourat MARLA & MNAEA
Joe Mourat is Rob’s right hand man and the dedicated sales manager of Bromley. With almost 20 years of experience in the market and knowledge greater than that of the NAEA itself, Joe knows everything there is to know about property. When he’s not championing the sales of Bromley, Joe is a proud family man and loves nothing more than a day out with his kids.

Ryan, NOT BRIAN, Willingale started his career in estate agency as a fruit seller for Rob. Within a year Ryan showed his great people skills and excellent work ethic which quickly landed him a role as lettings negotiator. His dedication to his role saw him quickly climb the ladder to his current role as lettings manager, a role that has led Capital to the best Bromley Letting agent for the last 4 years. His friendly demeanour and fondness for local pubs has made him a permanent fixture of the Bromley and Shortlands area.
